I am constantly coming up against the silent state problem, such as:

    http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/reason_for_response_to_building#outgoing-48261

Publication of all the responses to government consultations would help transparency.

I look forward to reading your new book.

  2. I have been requested to send you copy of my briefing to Lords todays date re “Mercenaries in the House”.
I emailed heather@heatherbrooke.org but it bounced?

  3. Is it an offence to lie in response to a Freedom of Information request?
I made requests when I was writing my book Weirdo Mosher Freak about the murder of Sophie Lancaster and received different answers to the same questions… I now know the written answers I was given were not true. This case resulted in someone’s death and I believe it is possible that may have been avoided if the correct information had been passed on in the first place.
I would be interested to know your views on this matter.

    Thanks

    Catherine

I watched your Ted.com video and thought your message was on point. Thanks for what you do.

  5. Paul says:

Like Sam I also watched your Ted Talk and found it very interesting, but also frustrating to the extreme.(seems we have a parasite problem)

Being here, I am reminded of both John Pilger and Mark Curtis.

I also want to say thank you – without people like you we would be truly blind.

  6. I really think you would be interested in my story (on my website) – it involves illegal practice by a bank & it’s lawyers, false accounting, freedom of information, public domain data etc. I am still compaiging to get the story revealed but mainstream media seem terrified of it!

  7. Chris Jerjian says:

I’d like to talk to you about government corruption that I have uncovered. It needs an investigative journalist. Can we talk?

    Thanks
    Chris

  8. Pete says:

Heather it may sound wacky and unbelievable but due to incompetence and then all the behaviors you describe in the Silent State a Hospital has hijacked my 88 year old Father and sent him to a care home location which they claim due to data protection CANNOT be shared with me his only living family member on the UK mainland
I would really appreciate any thought/insight on how to deal with this matter as I am waiting for a set of complaint forms to arrive promised 2 months ago and have received no word of update for all I know he could be dead When everyone hides behind data protection a lot of faults can be hidden – I’d just like to learn if he is alive and well
